(cost is per adult)
We’re packing up the whole fam for a weekend of bike-camping on the Kitsap Peninsula. It can be tough transitioning from living life on a lark, saying yes to every ride the posse invites you on, into the entirely different cadence of raising a family.
We have the cure! It’s time to go bike-camping with other bicycle-obsessed families. Join us for a weekend bicycle get-away that’s all about naps and snack times, and connects you to rad parents who refuse to hang their bicycles in the garage while they’re raising their kids.
Not sure where to start with packing and gear? It’s a big change to haul the binkies and blankies–no more ounce counting for you, my friend! We’ve got you covered. Join your guides, Mary Ferrario and Ian Hunter, at Swift Headquarters on August 18th from 3pm to 5pm to geek out about gear, get to know the route, and connect with your fellow adventurers (no offspring please, just the rents).

About the Clinic
Family Bike-Camping Clinic and Get-Together, Sunday August 18th from 3:00-5:00 pm
Swift Industries 558 1st Ave South, 2nd Fl. Seattle WA 98104
We’ll talk about what what makes bike-packing different with kids, things to be prepared for, and what crucial items we’ve learned to always have! Our kid-packing bikes will be on display for examples with the gear we’d normally carry.
There’ll be time to review the route and chat about route-finding for future trips you’ll be doing with your family!
About the Family Campout
The weekend of August 24th and 25th, join the Swift Team for a family bike camping adventure out to Manchester State Park. We will depart from Swift Headquarters and make our way around Alki and through Lincoln Park to the Fauntleroy Ferry in West Seattle (11 miles). A quick ferry ride will deposit us at the Southworth ferry terminal on the Kitsap Peninsula where we’ll ride 8 miles to Manchester State Park.
The overnight will include an outdoor craft time for the kiddos and smores around the campfire Saturday evening. There will be opportunities to do short hikes through the woods as well as some beach exploration.
Swift will provide firewood, camping fees and s’mores supplies and ferry tickets.
Each individual is responsible for their own camping gear and meals.
